Barcelona to Replace Lewandowski with Nunez?

Nunez is one of the highest earners at Liverpool and if the club receives a good offer, they would like to discuss about it. The club’s high-profile players including Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander Arnold are entering their final contract year.

For the next season, Barcelona is looking for a replacement for Robert Lewandowski but the Polish international is not looking ready to say goodbye to the Spanish club. During an interview with SportBILD, he said

Saying goodbye [to Barcelona ] is definitely out of the question for me [this summer]. I feel physically good again now. I had physical problems in the first half of the season. Things got better in 2024.

As long as I continue to feel as good as I do now and notice in training that no one is outrunning me, I want to keep playing. As of today, I say that this will continue for at least two more years. Only when I notice that I am no longer physically at the top level and am in pain would I start to think? That’s not the case.

Liverpool confirmed Arne Slot as the club’s new manager who will replace Jurgen Klopp at the end of this season. The Reds may accept offers to make space for the new manager to sign the players he wants.

Robert Lewandowski still has two years remaining on his current deal. Barcelona looks set to attempt to offload him in the summer to ensure they comply with a £175m salary cap imposed by La Liga earlier this season.

Barcelona are said to be prepared to allow Lewandowski to leave the club this summer in order to bring down their wage bill. The former Bayern Munich forward has been Barca’s top scorer in both of his two seasons at the club.
