Liverpool has got their new manager who will replace Jurgen Klopp. The Feyenoord boss Arne Slot will be the new Liverpool manager at the end of the season after Klopp. Earlier this year, Jurgen Klopp announced his separation and the club started looking for his replacement. It is now confirmed that Slot will be the new manager.

According to BBC, the deal between Arne Slot and Liverpool worth £9.4 million has been agreed. On joining the new club, Slot stated that

I would like to go to Liverpool. Now I’m waiting to see whether the clubs reach an agreement. I’m very confident in that.

Who is Arne Slot?

Arne Slot is a Netherland-born manager who is currently the manager of Feyenoord. He led the Dutch giants to the inaugural Europa Conference League final at the end of his first season, in which they narrowly lost 1-0 against Mourinho’s Roma.

Cambuur was his first professional club as a manager. He was there for one season and in 2019 he became the manager of AZ (Alkmaar Zaanstreek). While managing Feyenoord, he helped the club to win Eredivisie 2022-23, and KNVB Cup 2023-24.

Slot also received the Rinus Michels Award for the seasons 2021-22 and 2022-23. Being the manager of Feyenoord, he won 95 games out of 147 with a Win% of 64.63 which is his best managerial record.

Jurgen Klopp will step down as the Liverpool manager at the end of this season. When he was asked about the new manager’s abilities, he replied

I like the way his team plays football. If he is the one, I like that he wants it. I don’t know him, but some people who know him say he’s a good guy. I like that a lot. So a good coach, a good guy. Looking forward to the club, if he is the solution, if he is the man, I’m more than happy.
