Indian Football Team coach Igor Stimac has announced the first list of a 26-man team squad for the Bhubaneshwar camp ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualifier match in June. The head coach names the first 26 players who are called for the training camp for the upcoming matches against Kuwait and Qatar.
This camp will kick off on the 10th of May in Bhubaneshwar where they’ll prepare for the important games of World Cup qualifier and Asian Cup qualifiers.
After India’s unwanted performance in the last qualifiers, India cannot afford more defeats or draws. The Blue Tigers have to get positive results from the remaining 2 fixtures to qualify for the 3rd round of the World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

Defenders: Amey Ganesh Ranawade, Jay Gupta, Lalchungnunga, Muhammad Hammad, Narender, Nikhil Poojary, Roshan Singh Naorem.
Midfielders: Brandon Fernandes, Edmund Lalrindika, Imran Khan, Isak Vanlalruatfela, Jeakson Singh Thounaojam, Mahesh Singh Naorem, Mohammad Yasir, Nandhakumar Sekar, Rahul Kannoly Praveen, Suresh Singh Wangjam, Vibin Mohanan.

India is currently at the second spot in Group A with 4 points. Afghanistan who also have 4 points are in third position as India holds a better goal difference record. Only Qatar have qualified for the 3rd round all 3 remaining teams can still qualify for the next round.

Next World Cup Qualifier Matches
Team India will first play against Kuwait on 6 June at the Sal Lake Stadium, Kolkata, and then travel to Qatar to play the last game of 2nd round against the already qualified team Qatar on 11 June. Check India’s World Cup Qualifiers Schedule.
