The GOAT debate between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo is not ending soon. Barcelona’s midfielder Pedri picked up his favorite between Messi and Ronaldo. Although he said “Cristiano is great as well” but tilted his option to Barcelona’s legend Lionel Messi.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are playing not only in different clubs but in different leagues and in different continents also, but the rivalry between the two iconic football figures is still there.
Messi has now eight Ballon d’Ors and Ronaldo has 5 but there are different perspectives by celebrities around the World. Barca’s Pedri has also revealed his favorite between the 2 football legends and he is none other than Messi.
Pedri: Messi is ahead of Cristiano
Before Messi’s move to Paris Saint Germain, Pedri played with Messi. On the GOAT discussion, the midfielder told The Residency “Messi, without a doubt. But Cristiano is a great player as well.”
Right now, Pedri is out of football action because of injury and there is no update on his return. Without Pedri, it would be hard for Barca in this crucial end of the season.
Barcelona’s next game is against Paris Saint Germain which is at the Parc des Princes on 10 April. Pedri is most likely to miss this game as the midfielder has not recovered from injury. See the schedule of the UCL matches.
Meanwhile, Barcelona claimed all 3 points in their recent La Liga game against Las Palmas after a thumping clean-sheet victory against Atletico Madrid and that was even without Pedri. Pedri is also to miss the upcoming El Clasico on 21 April which is scheduled to be played at the Santiago Bernabeu.
