Check out the UEFA Champions League 2023-24 schedule in IST (Indian Schedule Time). The biggest football club competition reached the Semi Final round where the remaining 4 teams will compete in home and away leg format. This is the 69th edition of the competition and the final will be played at the Wembley Stadium, London. Winners will qualify for the league phase of the next UCL season, the 2024 FIFA Intercontinental Cup, and the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
Semi-Final Qualified Teams
Once again, Real Madrid and Man City showed the best class in 2 nail-biting encounters. After a 3-3 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid created history winning at the Etihad Stadium for the first time in history. With a defensive approach against the defending Champions, Carlo Ancelotti’s men finally found the winning way at Manchester and booked a place in the Semi-Final.
Meanwhile, PSG made a comeback in Spain after losing the first leg at their home ground. With two goals from Kylian Mbappe and one each from Dembele, Vitinha put PSG in the last 4 of the competition. Barca had the early lead when Raphinha scored the opening goal in the 12th minute but things started going in favour of PSG when Araujo received a red card.
Despite having a 2-1 lead over Dortmund, Atletico Madrid failed to defend in front of the Yellow wall as they conceded 4 goals. Thanks to Julian Brandt, Ian Maatsen, Niclas Fullkrug, and Marcel Sabitzer who scored each goal to confirm Dortmund’s place in the Semi-Final.
Bayern may have some issues in their domestic league but they showed their best of Football in the Champions League. A 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium without their fans and a 1-0 win at the Allianz Arena kept Bayern’s title hopes alive. The Bavarians will now face Real Madrid in the Last 4 round of the Champions League.

What if both teams score the same goals?
As there will be two legs in the Semi-Finals, the team with more goals on aggregate will qualify for the quarter-finals. However, if both teams score the same number of goals, then an extra 30 minutes will be given. If the score remains the same, the penalty shootout will decide the winner.
Will the away goals rule be applied?
No, there is no away goals rule because UEFA scrapped this rule and it will not be applied.
This is the last season with the current format of the competition. From the next season (UCL 2024-25), there will be a new season with the introduction of the league phase. Instead of 32, 36 teams will start the proper competition and each team will play eight league matches against 4 teams. Don’t forget to check the new Champions League format.
When will the final?
The final will be played on the 2nd of June 2024 at Wembley Stadium, London, England. The winner will qualify for the 2024 UEFA Super Cup and 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
