Which Teams Have Qualified for the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League?

The UEFA Champions League 2024-25 will be the first season with 36 teams for the proper competition. From now on, there will be league phase matches just like the domestic leagues and then teams will qualify for the knock-out rounds. See the new format of the Champions League which UEFA officially announces. Today, we are going to talk about the teams that qualified for the League phase and the teams that can still qualify.

How many teams from one country can qualify?

It depends on the coefficients of the association (country). Associations with better coefficients will have more teams in the league phase. According to UEFA rankings, the top 5 Associations (England, Spain, Germany, Italy, and France).

League Phase: The UEFA Champions League and Europa League winners will automatically qualify for the league phase. 1st and 2nd place UEFA associations will have an extra berth for the round of 36. The new format means there will be new prize money distribution.

• From associations 1 to 10, 10 Champions of the domestic leagues winners will directly qualify for the League phase.
• From associations 1 to 6, 6 runners-up of the domestic leagues will also play in the league phase of 36 teams.
• From associations 1 to 5, 5 third-placed teams will qualify for the league phase.
• From associations 1 to 4, 4 fourth-placed teams will also join them in the league phase.
• From the Champions Path of the play-off round, 5 winners will qualify.
• From the League Path of the play-off round, 2 winners will qualify.

Champions League 2024-25 Qualified Teams

So far, 17 teams have qualified for the next UCL season. Some more teams will be confirmed at the end of the season. 7 teams will be decided through playoff rounds.
